Middle school program let the students approach visual language through a variety of experiences, ranging from studio practice to the analysis and discussion of different artworks.
6th grade art history program investigates the role of art in different social contexts with a particular focus on the different representation of human figures. Some major artworks from Prehistory to Middle ages will be analyzed in terms of formal qualities, function and meaning.
7th grade art history program ranges from Renaissance to Neoclassicism. Artist's achievement in terms of realistic representations are studied and investigated for their function and expressive potential.
8th graders will experience art beyond the mere reproduction of reality by approaching modern and contemporary art, architecture and industrial design. As a long term project, students will prepare and present an independent research on an artist or an art movement documented by an essay, written according to the following guidelines.
